I’m sure we’ve all spent time imagining our perfect dream house, and I’m sure we can all agree that we’ll never be able to afford to build it. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t construct it out of building blocks–and if your dream house is a quaint medieval cottage–then you’ve got to check out this MOC from, afollygood, one of our favorite designers.

This picturesque cottage consists of two stories and is constructed using three independent segments, including the first floor, second floor, and a roof. It measures in at 17.4 x 23.2 x 34.6 cm and uses a total of 2199 parts.

Afollygood has put a lot of thought into the design of this medieval cottage. As you can see, he’s chosen to use different colored bricks and slopes to add some character, as well as incorporating mason bricks and studs to add texture to the facade. This really gives the cottage that old-world hand-built feel which would make it feel right at home as part of any village.

Not content with just designing a gorgeous exterior, afollygood also created a full interior for his charming little cottage. The first floor includes a stove conveniently placed where the chimney is, along with a table complete with goblet and candle. There’s even a rat roaming around looking for something to nibble on.

The second-story interior features a checkered tile flooring, along with a hole for the ladder, which gives access to the ground floor below. Showing how afollygood has paid attention to every little detail. It also includes a bed for the owner and a worktable where the cat can spend its time resting instead of catching mice.

While we may never be able to build our dream homes or construct our very own medieval cottage by hand, afollygood’s charming little two-story fully playable Lego MOC can at least allow us to live out the fantasy at home.
